These will trap 1 micron particles at an eighty percent efficiency. MERV 13 will even gather particles as tiny as 0.3 microns. That means you will be trapping attached viruses and bacteria in addition to the smallest sub-pollen particles that can enter the lower respiratory tract and trigger allergic responses.
