MERV 13 is our highest rating and is the best choice when you have severe allergies or seek the highest level of indoor air quality. These will capture 1 micron particles at an 80% efficiency. MERV 13 will even collect particles as small as 0.3 microns. That means you will be capturing attached viruses and bacteria in addition to the microscopic sub-pollen particles that can reach the lower airways and trigger allergic reactions.
