MERV 13 is our highest rating and is the ideal choice when you have extreme allergies or seek the maximum level of indoor air quality. These will collect 1 micron particles at an 80 percent efficiency. MERV 13 will even accumulate particles as minute as 0.3 microns. That means you will be collecting attached viruses and bacteria in addition to the tiniest sub-pollen particles that can make their way into the lower airways and trigger allergic reactions.
