MERV 13 is our highest rating and is the optimal choice when you have serious allergies or desire the top level of indoor air quality. These will trap 1 micron particles at an eighty percent efficiency. MERV 13 will even gather particles as tiny as 0.3 microns. That means you will be trapping attached viruses and bacteria in addition to the most minuscule sub-pollen particles that can enter the lower respiratory tract and trigger allergic responses.
